We build and look after business software
Replace manual work, connect the systems you use, or get an existing application back on track. AL+ builds custom web and iOS apps, automates recurring tasks, and maintains the software your business depends on.

What needs to work better?
-
Build custom software
Customer portals, internal tools, web products and iOS apps built around a specific business need. We define the useful first release, agree its scope and price, and show progress each week.
When spreadsheets or off-the-shelf tools no longer fit how the work needs to happen.
-
Automate repetitive work
Connect the tools you already use, move information between them, and prepare recurring reports or documents. Agree where a person needs to check or approve the result.
When people spend time copying data, chasing updates or repeating the same administrative task.
-
Repair an existing application
Find out why the application fails, slows down or has become hard to change. Start with a focused assessment, then agree the repairs and how to verify them.
When you need a dependable next release, not a decision to rebuild everything.
-
Take over and maintain software
Your developer has moved on, or keeping the application running has become a worry. We establish how it works, document it, and agree who handles updates, fixes and support.
For software with real users that needs a responsible team. See ongoing maintenance.

Software we build and run ourselves
These are AL+ products, not client projects. They show the kinds of work we can take responsibility for after launch. Explore the screens here or visit the products.

KeySend
Daily Google Ads monitoring for consultants and small agencies, with a weekly, evidence-backed PDF report ready to send to each client.
Relevant experience: jobs that run every day on their own, data pulled from an outside API, and documents generated for each customer. keysend.app · more about KeySend
Know what changed in each client's account this week, why, and what to do first. -
CrabGate
Ticketing for small rooms, independent conferences and recurring workshops: create events, sell tickets through your own Stripe account, email buyers and check people in at the door.
Relevant experience: taking payments, emailing customers, and a screen staff use on the spot. crabgate.com

See every ticket holder, and who is already through the door.
Check people in at the door from a phone, by name or by scanning the ticket.
How a custom software project runs
Understand the problem first
We ask how the work happens today, who needs the software and what would make the project worthwhile. If an existing product can do the job, we say so.
Agree the work and its price
You get a written scope, a fixed price for that scope, and a delivery plan with assumptions and exclusions. We agree the first week's demonstrable result before starting. Hosting, third-party subscriptions and ongoing support are set out separately.
Review working progress every week
You see the software, give feedback and discuss the next priorities with the people building it. We test the important workflows and review changes before release. Extra work gets an agreed price before we build it.
Keep ownership after launch
You own the custom code and control the repository from day one. We hand over tests and instructions for running the software. Third-party components keep their own licences. We can also agree maintenance and support.
Before you commit
These terms apply to new custom development. We agree the scope, payment and support terms for assessments and ongoing maintenance separately.
What does the first-week guarantee cover?
The written scope defines the result you can try and the checks it must pass at the end of week one. If we do not deliver that agreed result, you get your money back for that week. It is a first milestone, not a promise that the whole application will be finished or ready to launch in a week.
How do payments and changes work?
You pay weekly in advance, either side can stop with one week's notice, and you keep the work completed. The fixed price covers the written scope. We discuss and price changes before proceeding.
How long will the project take?
That depends on the workflows, integrations and what already exists. We inspect the important unknowns before committing to a schedule, and tell you when a dependency or decision affects delivery.
Are we the right size for your project?
We are an independent, small software business. We suit organisations that want direct access to experienced developers and a clearly defined project or ongoing care. If the work needs a larger team or expertise we do not have, Paul will say so.
A letter from our lead engineer
I am Paul Bădărău, founder and lead engineer at AL+. I have spent more than twelve years building software, mostly web applications, and more recently native iPhone apps.
A business should not need to become a software company to get a useful application. You should know what you are paying for, see whether it works, and have someone to call when it needs attention.
That is how I want AL+ to work. We discuss the business problem before the technology. I stay involved in the engineering and the conversations about scope and delivery. Our own products also keep us responsible for what happens after a launch.
You do not need a technical specification to start. Tell me what is difficult today and what you would like to change. I read every email at paul@alplustech.com.
Plan your next software decision
Practical guides to budgets, handovers and maintenance, written for business owners.
Planning custom software development: scope and cost
Prepare a custom software development brief: users, workflows, integrations, scope, cost drivers, and acceptance checks before you ask for a proposal.
Software maintenance cost: what your budget should cover
Estimate maintenance for an existing web app or SaaS: separate takeover, upkeep, support and feature work, then compare what each quote includes.
Repair or rewrite?
A rewrite is a conclusion you reach after understanding a system, not a starting point. Most systems proposed for rewrite need an owner, a plan, and a few months of repair.
Tell us what needs to work better
A few sentences are enough. What happens today, what needs to change, and who will use the software? Include a deadline or budget range if you have one. You do not need a finished brief.

Paul checks whether we can help and replies within one working day. If there is a fit, we arrange a free 30-minute conversation. We then identify what needs investigation before preparing a written scope and quote.
